Gamescampus Donates $2000 to ALS Research from 2nd Annual Shot-Online Tournament
More than 1,400 players participated the popular MMO online golf game’s annual charity event.
May 26, 2009 - San Jose, Calif. - San Jose-based online game publisher, Gamescampus.com, today announced the results of its annual online ALS Charity Tournament for its popular online golf simulation game,Shot Online. The tournament ran from May 4th through May 14th on the challenging Sosori golf course. A total of 1,417 Shot Online players participated in the charity tournament to help aid the research to cure ALS.
GamesCampus donated $1 for every player who completed the entire 18-hole Sasori course in the Shot-Online game. In addition to the $1,417 donated for each player who participated in the event, the company also donated additional funds to provide a total donation of $2,000. All proceeds are being donated to the Driving 4 Life organization to benefit its ALS Therapy Development Institute and ALS research efforts. The Shot-Online charity event has been held annually since 2006 to remember a former player who passed away from ALS (commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease).
The full list of players who participated in the charity event can be found in the Shot Online page at http://shotonline.gamescampus.com/board/view.asp?bid=ne&num=1013.
“We would like to thank everyone who participated in our annual Shot-Online ALS Charity Tournament,” said Tony Liu, Producer of Shot-Online. “We are thrilled the event was again a tremendous success, and are happy to be contributing to the Driving 4 Life organization to help raise awareness and, most importantly, a cure for ALS.”

It’s amazing that this article is written exactly in a way that we want to position MLBDH in the market: inexpensive alternative to sports console games.
This article will make sure to convince people who may still be doubtful about us
that our game is indeed a serious alternative to those expensive console games, not only for the price, but also for the quality. J
“MLB Dugout Heroes has amassed over 75,000 downloads since its launch.”
“Jordan O’Brien, who describes himself as an avid gamer, regularly plays popular console games such as Halo and Madden on his Xbox 360. But when the Toronto, Canada, resident first played MLB Dugout Heroes earlier this year, he quickly became addicted, sometimes playing as much as three hours a night. Mr. O’Brien says with MLB Dugout Heroes, it’s easier to find people online to play against versus Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox Live, an online gaming and media service for the Xbox 360.”
